Dining at Legan Castle Farmhouse

With a focus towards; seasonal, organic, local, unprocessed, unrefined ‘clean’ food, our food is never overly fussy as we believe the ingredients should speak for themselves. We gather vegetables, salads, herbs and berries from our kitchen garden. Our free range hens lay fresh eggs for breakfast each day. Grogan & Brown Artisan Butchers supply all our meat, the best of bacon and sausages for your breakfast in the morning. Our fish monger supplies us with an array of shellfish and fresh fish to order. We support small local producers, supplying jams and home made butter.

We cater for all dietary requirements, whether you are vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, gluten free. Please advise at time of booking.

Breakfast is served each morning in the main farmhouse kitchen anytime before noon. We are happy to rustle up anything you fancy. From traditional cooked breakfast, oak smoked organic salmon and scrambled eggs, homemade granola served with Greek yogurt pot and berry compote, gluten free porridge made with almond milk, spiced with ground ginger. Power green juices and wheatgrass shots are also available on the breakfast menu.



Private dinning is available by prior arrangement for groups of 4 or more. Our evening meals are the perfect way to enjoy good quality food in a relaxed atmosphere. Prior to your arrival we will discuss any dietary requirements and preferences and plan your menu. We like you to have an element of surprise, so beyond specific preferences we will design dishes to suit you and your guests. Dinner is served in the main house, or if the weather suits outside beneath the castle ruins, which we will light up with candles.
